i'm back with bad news. hooked up another amp, no go. immediately sets itself in protect mode. my friend and i then did a thorough analysis of the entire setup. first of all we know that neither the speaker wire nor RCA wires can be causing this so we had those disconnected- we are left with power, ground, and remote wire. we decided to call a friend of ours who use to own his own shop... for the remote wire we disconnected the original wire and had a short wire we used to directly tap into the power. this way, if it did work there would be something wrong with the remote wire. nothing. still sets itself in protect mode next for the ground, we changed grounding location to a different location even though the original worked fine. nothing. still sets itself in protect mode for the power wire, we know it works, because at least the amp is lighting up red. if it was receiving no power at all nothing would light up. even so, we changed the power wire fuse three times. nothing. still sets itself in protect mode all of my friends are confused. we did everything we know...ideas? both were tried with 2 amps and no go for both
