Alright I'm starting to redo the system in my car. As of now it has cheap JBL GTO components and speakers. A Memphis 1000.1, Memphis 100.4, 12" Fi Q in a fiberglass sealed 1ft^3 box and a Alpine CDA-9887 HU. I've already ordered new amps, I'm going with a Diamond Audio D5 1200.1 and a Diamond Audio D5 600.4. I'm keeping the 12" Fi Q... however I think I may need to send it in for repairs (it works and sounds amazing in the car, but if you lift up the trunk at high volumes it makes a clanking sound?). I'm just doing front components this time, I'm gonna go with CDT EF-61CF set without crossovers and go active on my HU. I'm keeping the 9887. For the sub I want to port it, I want better low end bass. I plan make a box with a total of 2.44ft^3 and port it to 33Hz. Now I've never went active on any set up. Can someone give me advice on this? What crossover points should I use, slope, etc? I take it the tweeters go to the front RCA's and the woofers go to the rear RCA's? It wouldn't be good to get those mixed up.
