yes i did at one point have a problem with my sx. the motor disatached from the basket. here are the steps i would go about with it 1: pop the sub out and play a song fairly loud in free air and watch the sub...see if any noise is comin from the sub. also during this time check to make sure nothin is loose on the sub 2: im not to familiar with that song but i know 36 has a lot of low shit but i doubt that it goes low enough to damage your sub without a subsonic filter. so second i would see that your gain is set correctly, you might think its bottoming out, but in all actuality you might just be clipping or distorting. of course this is dependant on whether you have knowledge in this area to dicern what bottomin out sounds like and what distortion sounds like on a sub 3: if the sub seems fine outta the box at a certain volume play the song again while holdign the woofer and get someone else to adjust the volume on the deck while you watch the sub again. might sound like option 1 earlier BUT that was just to make sure everythign was functioning correctly while this is more to see if you can reproduce the noise. 4: make sure that if your box is a big one (not sure what your size is) that there is no flexing, cause flexing can cause a nasty sound too (trust me i know considering my ****in brace wasnt bracing my box the way it was when it went in there lol
