NOT the case. the hd is a small amp with awesome specs so this is why it was my top choice as a small footprint amp. i dont know much about mmats at all so i dont know how they would do or compare against jl or any other brand for that matter.but i like that the jl does full ouput at 11 volts and full ouput between 1.5-4 ohms. im not trying to push the jl over board here, im just saying i dont know much about th mmats.</blockquote>
