I recently purchased a fusion base tube with built in amp for my 1998 fiat punto SX. I fit it with my friend (very dodgey!). We connected the wire to the battery. the earth wire and we conneceted the blue remote wire to the blue wire on the back of the headunit (with wire joining clips). We used these little clip things (sorry!!) to join the speaker cables with the sub speaker cables as no RCA on back of my headunit. We were experiencing no power at all and then we connected the blue wire to the blue remote wire better (by using plyers) and we got power and had fine sound for about half an hour. After this time it suddenly cut out and now no power is going to the union (the led doesnt come on). We have checked both fuses (by the battery and in the amp) and both seem fine. However when we wiggle the fuse going into the back of the amp the power led comes on for a second? (this happened with two different fuses).. any ideas why there is no power??
