Message: <blockquote data-quote="Ricktc" data-source="post: 348176" data-attributes="member: 549598"><p>I think you all are a little confused here.  The switched power wire (to turn on the hu) is usually red, but has nothing to do with the amp.  This wire just tells the head unit to turn on when the switch is closed (key is turned to accessory or run position.)  The remote wire is blue or blue with a white stripe, and is run back to the amp with the RCAs and gives a 12v signal to tell the amp when to turn on.  He has his power antenna wire (wire used to activate the power antenna if you have one, only when tuner is being used) mixed up with his remote wire (wire used to give turn-on signal to his amp).</p></blockquote><p></p>
