A bass kick is actually a quick sine sweep from higher frequency bass (midbass) down to ~40hz. Since your sub can't play mid bass, the first half of the kick isn't played so all you hear is the second half of it. This creates the illusion of delayed bass, when in reality it's just your sub not playing the full bass kick.</p></blockquote><p></p>
