Anyways the sub makes a very light popping sound at very low notes when the volume is over 50%... like the sound my speakers make when i set the equalizer to superbass( i havent put in bass blockers yet)... its just a lot quieter. I can clearly hear it but its not loud at all... is this just because its a 10" and doesnt hit really low notes well or is there something to worry about?
FIrst of all i have a kicker zx300.1 hooked up to a 10"cvr at 2ohms. The subsonic filter is 25hz and the low pass is 80hz. Well after having the gain at 8/11 for a while it blew the sub. I just put my spare cvr in and set the voltage correctly with the equalizer set at flat, bass boost off, and sub at 0 on the HU . Its 24.5v at 0db at 45hz and 17v at -3db at 45hz. Is it okay to set it so its 24.5v at -3db (but itd be over 30v at 0db)? Anyways the sub makes a very light popping sound at very low notes when the volume is over 50%... like the sound my speakers make when i set the equalizer to superbass( i havent put in bass blockers yet)... its just a lot quieter. I can clearly hear it but its not loud at all... is this just because its a 10" and doesnt hit really low notes well or is there something to worry about? Could i have damaged my amp when i had the gain at 8/11 (over 50v....)
