A few days ago i realized that my sub rca plugs were hooked up to my head unit incorrectly and I ficed it. two days later my i was playing my sub for about 10 min and it cut out. i turned the head unit off and back on. I could hear the sub turn on but i quickly cut back off.then after that episode the amp wouldnt turn on again. So i determined it was the Amp because i opened my trunk and the power light on the amp wasnt on even after i checked all fuses and power connections. So i took the opertunity to upgrade my system. I purchased a kenwood 1200watt peak 400rms sub and a sony xplod 800watt peak 340ish rms. I used my existing wiring with 10 gauge power wire and replaced it with a 30 amp fuse. So today i was driving and the same thing happened after 10 min the sub started to cut out. I shouldnt need a capacitor for this system becasue it really isnt that powerful. My father is an engineer and he said that The power wire is too small but he doesnt think that the sub would cut out becuase of this. he siad the fuse would blow or the wire would melt. Could that still cause my sub to cut out though. Also I got a new kenwood head unit could it be that. Also its kind of a hot day out. Any thoughts????

thanks

jay
ok so i had recently owned quite a cheap system with a dual 300watt peak amp and a pioneer sub. Any thoughts???? thanks jay
