I really don't think I was able to hear clipping with the 40hz tone, I'm guessing I was mistaking clipping for some other noise or rattle in the vehicle, because it sounds clean and distortion free at about 60% now.I was considering 2ohm all around, but seems that 2ohm speakers are very limited.</blockquote>
