okay.. so i just installed my new avionixx 800.2 (800 x 1 at 4 ohm) sub to the elemental designs 12a.22... this was an 'upgrade' to a ppi pc2400 (400x1) powering 2 JL 12w3's... i kinda phased my upgrade in 2 steps.. new box/sub first..powered by the pc2400.. which sounded fine.. hit a little harder than the 2 w3's.. not too much harder, but certainly tighter.. then i finally got a chance to switch out the amps today/rewire to 4 guage.. but yet..the sub still hits the same.. maybe a little worse! the main thing that stood out to me was how after upping the bass to a certain level (about 3/4).. the sub makes this really rattling noise.. its bass + this nasty vibration noise.. not from the trunk, but from the sub itself.. 'flab flab flab' sorta thing.. i was reading some guide sayin' that if my bass goes 'flat,' and my headlights dim... it means i need a capacitor to give my sub an extra umpphh.. but then im not really sure what they mean by 'flat'? is that my experience? i was also thinkin if it could be caused by a bad box maybe? some leaks on the sealed enclosure? it seems like a lotta ppls got this avionixx/e12a setup.. so it snot really 'hardware incompatibility'... any ideas?? heeeeellp!! :-/
