Shouldnt it be able to handle 1700 watts RMS if it is rated at 4000 peak? I am thinking maybe it was my enclosure so this is my enclosure with measurements, maybe somebody can tell me if its my enclosure causing the issue. Any input helps guys, thanks. [QUOTE="Titanbk, post: 2838466, member: 574507"] I am using an MA Audio Hard Kore 15x2. Dual 2 ohm, 15" woofer. Rated at 2000 rms and 4000 peak. Now I am using an orion 2500d pushing 1700x1 at 2 ohms which is what the gain is set to. (set with my AC meter). Now after I have been playing it for a little bit of time (1/2 hour or so) the middle of the sub get hot and I can smell the sub working. Shouldnt it be able to handle 1700 watts RMS if it is rated at 4000 peak? I am thinking maybe it was my enclosure so this is my enclosure with measurements, maybe somebody can tell me if its my enclosure causing the issue. Any input helps guys, thanks. He is my enclosure.
