[QUOTE="g0t-milk, post: 2673673, member: 574071"] ok once again im having a problem. i re mounted my ground to somewhere more stable, electric sanded it to bare metal.. i mean its BARE.. so it cant be ground. re checked my sub wiring, its fine. got a new amp, the kicker 400.1 -- moved my rca's all around, attatched the 5ga power wire directly to the amp (was fused to dual 8ga on the other side of the fuse block, i had 2.. one by the batt and one by the amp) and still my sub bass is dropping. it will hit hard then sounds like half the power has been cut... then it will kick back in again. ive checked a shit load of things.. only thing left i can think of is put a different power wire in, or check the head unit for any loose connections. any other suggestions you might have? it happens alot.. but mostly when i go up hill or downhill is when the bass kicks back in, or if i hit a bump. so if that happens, its gotta be a loose wire, right? on the inside of the box from the sub to the terminals i just wrapped the wired onto the metal securly, no connectors.
