It may have been goin in to protect because of a blown channel, and the more he/the installers kept turning it on, the sub finally got a taste of dc current, if the amplifier's channel is blown, the alternator/charging system/cap will actually see the subwoofer itself as a huge 1/2 ohm draw on the electrical, and **** loads of power through itself.</p><p></p><p>But again, can't complain when you get bumped up to a better product.</p></blockquote><p></p>
