Alright well, last May, I removed my 12" SoundSplinter RL-Is from my car and sold them off. I was systemless for a long time and then I was planning to jump on the Type R bandwagon but I decided to wait. So about a month ago, I decided to sell my Pioneer Premier DEH-P8MP so I could upgrade to an indash dvd player, a couple of days before it was supposed to be sold, the volume knob popped off. Luckily the deck is under warranty and will be sent in for repairs, but my mom + sister went ahead and bought me a Pioneer Premier DEH-P850MP which I will be running in my next set up now. When the 8MP gets here again, I will be selling it for sure. Now, I've put in new coaxials in my doors (nothing special, some Pioneer 5.25" speakers), and I've purchased 2 2004 model 12" L7s and a guy in my town is building the box for it (he ran out of wood and no one in my town has any 3/4" MDF sheets in stock...NICE LUCK). The box should take about another week, the L7s are here, and like 4 or 5 months ago I bought 0/1 awg wiring + a distro block. Now I should be feeling good because my system is slowly coming together but it seems like little stuff always happens that causes an inconvenience. The P850MP was shipped on Dec.21st and it should have been here on the 29th but it was delayed because of New Years. It would have been here yesterday but its just my luck that it is stuck in a town that is about 13 hours away. It is being delayed now because of bad weather conditions so who knows how long it will take. Sorry for the long novel but I just wanted to see if other people have this kind of stuff happen to them a lot, seems to happen to me with all of my purchases. For those who don't want to read all that, here's my system which will HOPEFULLY be installed and bumping within the next couple of weeks. Head Unit: Pioneer Premier DEH-P850MP Front stage: Currently some crappy Pioneer coaxials which will be upgraded once I get some more money (tuition sucks) Front Stage amp: Probably will be using a Denon DCA-3180 to temporarily power the Pioneer speakers Subwoofers: (2) 2004 dual 4 ohm 12" Kicker S12L7s Subwoofer amp: Crossfire BMF1000D Enclosure: 5.0 cu feet ported tuned to 37 hz Wiring: 0/1 awg wiring, big 3 done in 4 awg wiring This will all be installed in the trunk of my 97 Grand Am. I just hope it all comes together soon...
