Message: <blockquote data-quote="cleansoundzz" data-source="post: 6768250" data-attributes="member: 589711"><p>The IPOD DAC is not being used on the CDA 117.  It has been upgraded on the 117.  The Burr Brown 24 DAC also applies to the IPOD sound.  That is the major difference between the 9886, 9887 with this year's CDA 117.   Yes you are right the EQ and crossover setting on the 880 PRS are better and you do not need to use imprint to access those options.  However, having used both the 880 PRS is not leaps and bounds over the CDA 117.  To me to access the IPOD and scroll through the songs on the 880 was a pain in the *** and not worth it in the end.  The differences between the 880 and 117 balance out nicely, in the end the sound is all that matters.</p></blockquote><p></p>
