Just to let you know I am not sure if they had updated the page but here are the classes for this year. I believe the website still has last years classes on it. Its mainly a few change for AMP limits in some classes but figured I would post it, 2007-2008 NSPL Classes Revision as of 9-13-07 *Amp Draw (is based on Manufacturers maximum Amperage rating of each amplifier or fuse rating) ** Amplifiers with incomplete instruction manuals, or subjective ratings will be rated by NSPL. This will class these amplifiers with similar ratings together. Manufacturers whom introduce amplifiers with lower ratings than the previous model must have their NSPL Competition ratings also approved. NSPL reserves the right to rate these amplifiers accordingly. *** Amplifiers which ratings cannot be resolved at an event, will be placed in the Insane class pending the determined ratings. SPL Classes (The following classes are 12 volt) (All New for First Time Competitors to run for 1 season) Beginner 0-24” 1-Amp Limit (100 amp Draw) Beginner 25-48” 2-Amp Limit (100 amp Draw) 1-Extra Battery *(Cars, Truck’s, and SUV’s) **(One run of 4 gauge power wire) Trunk 0-24” 1-Amp Limit(200 amp Draw) 1-Extra Battery Trunk 25-48” 2-Amp Limit(200 amp Draw per amp) 2-Extra Battery *(Cars with rear Trunk Storage Area) **(One run of 1/0 power wire per Extra Battery) Car 0-24” 1-Amp Limit (200 amp Draw) 1-Extra Battery Car 25-48” 2-Amp Limit(200 amp Draw per amp) 2-Extra Battery *(Cars must have a rear seat fold down or hatchback) **(One run of 1/0 power wire per Extra Battery) Truck/SUV 0-30” 1-Amp Limit (200 amp Draw) 1-Extra Battery Truck/SUV 31-60” 2-Amp Limit(200 amp Draw) 2-Extra Battery *(Regular/Extra Cab Trucks, SUV’s, Van’s must have rear seat) ***(One run of 1/0 power wire per Extra Battery) (The following classes are 16 volt) Trunk Modified 0-1200 amps *Cars with rear Trunk Storage Area **Rear Deck Area Must Have Grill Cover No Wall 0-24” 1-Amp per sub, 1-Extra Battery No Wall 24”-48” 1-Amp per Sub, 2-Extra Batteries *(Vehicles with a Box below the window level) **(Vehicles with no Rear Seat. example= Honda CRX, RX-7) ***(Trucks with rear Cut Through’s) 2007-2008 NSPL Classes Revision Continued- (The following classes are 16 volt) Wall 0-400 amps (400 amp Total Draw) Wall 401-1200 amps (1200 amp Total Draw) Wall 1201-2400 amperes (2400 amp Total Draw) Wall 2401-up amperes (2401 amps+) Wall Hardcore 0-1200 (1200 amp Total Draw) Wall Hardcore 1201-2400 (2400 amp Total Draw) Modified One-Two Modified Three-Four Modified Five-Plus Extremely modified vehicles(window’s,interior) (No Amperage Restriction on Amplifiers) Insane Enclosures Built up to 8inches beyond the B-pilar (No Amperage Restriction on Amplifiers)
