[QUOTE="Electrodynamic, post: 5972445, member: 548723"] The BM is 2" shallower and works off of much lower levels of power compared to the Mag v4. The Mag v4 really shouldn't be used with anything less than 250, it likes 500-750 really well, and its limit is 1000 in the target enclosure. The BM will work well off of anything as little as 75 watts, it will like 150-400 really well, and can handle up to 500 in the target enclosure. The BM is an entirely different beast when it comes to applications, and it offers a LOT of punch/performance for such a shallow woofer. I'm taking SI to sealed only because that is what 90% of my customers wanted / want. The older v3 was a nice driver, but it was the opposite direction of what I wanted from the Mag from the very beginning. 90% of the emails I received while selling/designing the v2 and v3 Mags were what's the lowest amount of power they will work on, how deep are they, and what's the smallest sealed box they will work in. There are plenty of drivers that do well in 1.2'ish ft^3 sealed and 2 ft^3 ported that offer decent SQ but lots of SPL. That's fine for the people who want that. I don't, and my current customers don't either. But it's not like the v3 isn't going to come back.
