I have been looking for a high quality 4 channel amp to run my HEX's and also bridged to run a small sub in a sealed box. This is a daily driver and I want as high of SQ as I can get. The problem I have run into, is I really like PG, but can't find a amp that meets my exact power requirements (100-150x4 or bridged@400-500x2). So I am looking at a Orion 8004(100x4 or 400x2) which would do it or a PPI DCX 1000.4(125x4 or 500x2), both of which are perfect. Slight price difference. But running the sub and fronts off the same amp will save money any way. So I am stuck between the two? Then there is the new Xenon which produces too much power for the fronts? I have noticed that Orion and PPI are both part of Directed Electronics and this bothers me. Just seems that allot of the DE companies have products with very close descriptions and features. Is this me being to anal or what?
