OK, first thing I have to state is that I have this upgrade-itis, as most of you probably have. I want to design things that I can spend more money on to upgrade later. So this is what brought me to my first potential design: 10" Eclipse Aluminum 8102DVC - US Acoustics USX-800D running 500W RMS @ 2 ohm I figured that I can get that and then if I want, add another one. This way I will have a very good SQ system but with the addition of another 10" it could also get loud when wanted. Because as a daily driver I will not have it cranked, and I wanted good SQ in my car. But then I start thinking (and getting recomendations) that for SQ, a single sub would be better. The thing about that is that there would be NO UPGRADING, which is definately a shame. So I figure, if I am going to get a single sub, I should just spend as much as I would have on the set of 2 sub's and amps. This obviously leads me to think of 10W7, not only for dominating SQ but also it can get loud if wanted. So what is the general consensus on the above idea? I know immediatly there will be JL haters, but comon, you gotta give W7 some credit. So, what else rivals a 10W7 in SQ and in SPL. I know there is ALOT out there that will crush them in SPL, but I DONT WANT THAT. I want something that has SQ capability of a W7, but will also sound good for every 1 out of 10 times I want it to POUND. THANKS ALL
