speaks still clipping after proper gain setting

So the first 2 terminals are filled. I then have the last 2 terminals bridged together for my subs. The positive side of the wire goes into the positive hole of the 3rd terminal and the negative side of the wire goes into the negative hole of the 4th terminal.</p><p></p><p>Now onto the problem. I read the gain setting tutorial carefully and deducted that i need to have 26.45 volts reading on the DMM when i was setting the gain for "AMP 1" which is the gain for my components. (Sqrt(174*4) Right? I made a 1khz test tone cd, had all my settings on my Eclipse CD8445 just the way they are when i normally listen to music, i had the volume on 50/80 all my crossovers set to off on the amp and all the bass boost and crossover dials all set to the lowest setting. So i set the gains and then turn my crossovers back on and pop in a normal cd and the speakers are f*cking clipping like crazy!! I had to turn it all the way down to like 30/80 to stop them from clipping, i then turned the gain back wayyyy down from where i set it to earlier. Did i do something wrong when i calculated it. Are my components actually putting a 2 ohm load on the amp and thus getting 215 watts from it? I need help</p></blockquote><p></p>
