Amp doesn't go into protect nor does it clip. The way I have it wired is tapped off the rear speaker outputs on the jbl stock amp, speaker wires are ran to the speakerlevel inputs on my audiocontrol EQS, from eqs goes to sub amp.Now here's the weird part as long as I keep the volume low for about 10 mins of playing, I can then crank up the bass as loud as i want for as long as I want.. This makes no effin sense, is it something with the speaker level inputs, The prius electrical system? It's almost like the electrical has to buffer for a few mins before I can start cranking it up.</blockquote>
