I have a 2006 Impala LT. I installed two 6x9 in the rear deck along with door speakers and tweeters in the pillars. I also have installed a head unit and an amplifier. Everything is Pioneer. I have been having intermittent sound issues for roughly a year. When I first installed the system it worked fine and really rocked. It has always had an alternator whine that I could overlook by turning up the volume. The issue is that when I turn the volume past ten the sound cuts out but the head unit remains on. Sometimes I have to disconnect the car battery and reconnect to get sound back. I have replaced the alternator with a brand new one. I'm stumped by this issue and if someone could help me out I'd appreciate it greatly. Thank you.
