Im new to car audio and I have sorta an idea how to put it together. If anyone knows if this sony amplifer, i believe its 760 watts max will be too much for my alternator. I have never put in a high wattage amp (200+ watt) but already have a 75x4 amplifer that I installed myself with the explorer (94'). I have no problems running that amp and the Pioneer DH7300 headunit. It runs the polk 5x7's that are in the car. I haven't installed the new sony amp which is to push two mtx 12" subs. The subs are rated at 200 watts rms...so they should go alright with the amp which i think pushes 200 watts RMS x 2. If anyone thinks that this amp is too much for the alternator and has any suggestions or experience on this issue please let me know. its a new Sony Xplod XM-2150GSX 760 watt max amp... Any help that i can get will be appriciated... -Jim
