it comes with the sony connection box which will let you connect anything with a audio/video cable to it...so you will have to play the dvd with an a ps2 or dvd player in your car.

I have this exact model in my car and I can say for a fact the video quality is excellent! I have it hooked up to and external DVD player as well as TV tuner and it works great!
