Message: <blockquote data-quote="RCHB" data-source="post: 634405" data-attributes="member: 557993">i did the same thing with my 12" L5 dual 2 ohm sub.it was running off a kicker 600x1 at 2 ohm amp. i didnt really know much back then so i wired it in parallel. it was in a ported box and witin 5 minutes smoke came from the port and now its gone. and i didnt have a warranty  so i was assed out. i wired it in series for about 20 minutes and it hit pretty good, until some "stereo geniuses" came and told me to wire it a different way. when we pulled the sub out these geniuses had a wierd look on their face, they had never seen a DVC sub before. i was pissed.</blockquote>
