I really appreciate all the feedback and posts! That's why I joined up here. I'd like to educate myself on the different components and nuances of each part and how they work together to create a quality product. I need a woofer university course So the consensus seems to be it's a bad failure and continuing to run with the torn spider will result in further failure and possible damage to my amp. I don't like that. What would you do if you were in my shoes guys? I have my custom box w/ the 12" cut out to accommodate the 13av2 so I can't just put a 12" in there. I suppose I could have Brian make me an adapter ring for my recessed flush mount box to down size to a 12" woofer. Is my basket and huge motor a good platform for a rebuild? What would it cost me ballpark to make this thing into a nice piece of woofage to be proud of? I didn't pay much for the speaker, is it a good call to use some of my existing parts and build something juicy off of it or would a guy be better off starting over with something new. I know I'm a new here but I thought this was a pretty decent sub. Your thoughts?
