Before posting this topic I did read over the rules and the sticky. Now I hardly post on this forum because I mainly come here to read some tidbits and bounce around from thread to thread. One thing I am seeing more is how packages are being lost, damaged or even scammers hard at work. I am looking for some advice, tips or even any personal experience on how to conduct a sale via this forum. For example I would use the following while shipping via UPS, USPS or FedEx.

Ask for refs and buyer/seller feedback.
Signature conformation is a must.
Insurance is a must and even a little more that what it is valued and that should be split by both parties if it isn’t include in asking price.
Tracking numbers should be promptly emailed out; after all you receive them as soon as something is entered at the UPS store for example.
What I went by is my eBay practices and experiences but I also wandering what others use for their own personal tactics to prevent a smooth transaction. I would greatly appreciate any advice or even personal experiences because I am a little eerie of doing transactions via a forum and please don’t take offense to that. Lastly I believe for example I wanted to buy a subwoofer, could I ask for visual conformation of a properly working sub either by a vid (showing recent documentation of a properly working speaker) or even say a pic and a dmm testing the coil(s)? Would anyone like to elaborate a little more and possible share any tips on purchasing an amp or sub. Thanks
