Yes they have gobs of output and go really low (what everyone raves about them for), but Im mostly excited about the wider bandwidth this means they should be able to play. Finally a mid that I can use in a 2-way horn setup without sacrificing strong midbass or a solid mids. The older smaller mids I tried played up to 1khz well but lacked strong midbass. My IDQ 8's, although never hooked up, would have had strong midbass but wouldn't have liked playing up to 1khz. A mid with long excursion and BL-optimization theoretically should do both very well.
