Of course this sub has been around for years now and I have one of the older style se's. the recommend optimum ported @ 4 cubic net and 34hz. With all that said I am ready to build a round port enclosure that is 4 feet net plus .17 displacement for the sub. A round port tuned to 34 hz ( 6" inside diameter X 12.09" in length) which has an internal volume of .19 cuft. So gross volume is close to 4.36. Am I going in the right dimensions or should I shoot for 32hz with a port at 14.21". I have to play around with dimensions in my 97 Grand Prix trunk cause I want to fire up but don't know if I want to fire round port out of the side or they the ski hole behind the rear armrest. Also, I'm worried about port velocity with one 6" port. I like to use PVC and flare both ends. My alpine type r does awesome in a 2 foot net box tuned to 31 hz with a single 4" port at 13" long and port noise is negligible. The re will be run off of a hifonics amp at 2 ohm at about 1100 rms. this is a daily set up playing mostly rap, bass heavy songs and some rock. I know I haven't provided dimensions, but I have to decide where my batteries and amp are going. Thank you for the input. Rich
