Message: <blockquote data-quote="nismos14" data-source="post: 2621253" data-attributes="member: 572360"><p>Not if you tune it properly, and low enough.   The ported sub can take mroe power from the tuning frequency and up.  What happens below the tuning freq is that the sub can unload because it is basically running as a free air sub below that tuning.  There is a rolloff below the tuning frequency based on the subsonic freq used and the FB of the enclosure.  Taking this into account, if the box is tuned from 25-30 hz you will not notice a difference negatively vs a sealed box, most likely it will be a positive difference in the favor of the ported box.</p></blockquote><p></p>
