[QUOTE="knotslck, post: 2053792, member: 561694"] right now i have a stock vw 120 amp alternator with the big 3 in 1/0. i'm running a orion 2500d at 1 ohm and a little amp( around 120 watts for some comps front.) my lights really don't dim much even at night with lights and the A/C on. my alternator charges the battery at 14.28 volts at idle with no accessories on but and with lights, A/C, and amp playing test tone at full tilt the aternator dips down to 14 volts at the amp and the battery. the reason i'm asking is because i can get a 200 amp alt. through excessive amperage at a group buy price of 310 dollars shipped which is really good, but my question is since im not really getting any dimming and should i save the money and use it somewhere else or go ahead with my purchase. let me know what you would do:) thanks.
