The hifonics has less caps on the power supply side, but they are a bit larger than the caps on the AQ. The AQ has a few caps in the middle of the board that the hifonics doesn't have. Remember the brutus is rated 14.4, so on the average joe's electrical we could be talking a 200-400 watts difference between the two amps. Other than that, the processing circuitry, power terminals, transistor setup, the jumper wires and the center of the board are very similar(minus the caps)</p><p></p><p>To me it seems like the aq is just a little beefier brutus. Also, there were changes made in the new 08 brutus amps. I believe I read on the maxxsonics forum that hey added a few caps. They also have te older brutus 2200 on ampguts, but i cant get it to work for me right now, curious to see if its more similar to the AQ.</p></blockquote><p></p>
