The Jl is twice the power, but supposedly much more effecient and easier on your electrical. I also have a PPI PCX2200. So my original watts RMS total was 1120 and now will be 1400 watts. I do not have an upgraded battery, nor do I have the big 3 done and I have not had any problems nor did I have any problems in my 2000 Accord with the same PPI setup. I also tested with a voltage meter at my battery with the system at full tilt on a demanding rap song at idle and stayed in the high 13's. With the extra wattage should I do BIG 3 or get a new battery??? I know it couldn't hurt, but I'd rather not mess with it if I don't have to.
