just got kendwood KDC-MP438U HU and infinity 3-way 6x9 reference speakers. i am wondering what an amp will do to improve the sound? the speakers handle up to 100 watts RMS and the stereo only puts out 25 watts RMS, right? the speakers sound good until about 30 out of 35 on the volume level, then they start to distort. if i added an amp for the speakers, would this keep them from distorting? it is pretty loud as it is, so im not sure if the speakers could handle much more. but i figure since the HU is only putting out 25 watts where the speakers can handle 100watts, should they be able to go louder? thanks
