Shipping a Sub

Hey... I'm selling my b615, and i think i have a buyer.

Anyway, the package it came in....lol, it was just cardboard wrapped like 4089526 times, and it somehow worked.... but i'm only 2 hours away from ED, so maybe that helped. Anyway, i have no clue how to ship it, whats the "safest" way to ship a sub, knowing UPS *****. I'll use fedex though. I have no clue what to do...

bubble wrap around the sub, use a thick piece of cardboard to cover the cone. use foam if you have it to line the box. tape the **** out of the box.

Just so you know, at least with UPS it's not insured if there aren't certain specifications met...ie 4 inches of padding around the entire thing, new box, etc. I just had UPS pack my sub when I shipped it out and all went well with it.

Oh, so you just took it there and said package it?

The one here, theres only one person in the front, and you have to go to a computer to fill out a sticker.

I'm not to familiar with it though. I'm going with fedex though.

Well I packed it up with peanuts, styrofoam, and some protective padded covering...went to the UPS store and they told me it wouldn't be insured because the box wasn't "new" then went on and on about all their requirements for it to be insured so I just said, what the hel.l, pack it up. It cost like $10 or something.
