^^^THIS... i in NO WAY back AP. Ive never owned or used them. I have seen them work and seen a few impressive "SPL"(NOT SQ) builds. my friend has a apsm1500, been running it on stock 90amp alt @ .5ohm daily going on 6 months now. hes had no issues with the amp it self, his voltage does drop quite a bit(90amp alt), and it gets warm, BUT he has never had a problem with it getting to hot(amps never work the same for everyone, hence everyone saying you can "cook a steak" on thier mini's etc. and for his setup it works well for what it is and does good numbers on TL playing music. Now as for big brands, ive owned sundown, crescendo, aq/sq(currently my sub), memphis, etc and i like them as well, i HOWEVER never paid for it new, i always caught it on a deal it was steal high but cheaper then getting it new. For now im just wanting to do a budget(REALLY BUDGET) SPL build so yea im looking for cheap power. Me and my wife just recently had a little girl so no alot of money to throw around on audio right now. SHE COMES FIRST BEFORE EVERYTHING. So flame me all you want.
