I have decided to keep a modest set up for now, but with the capability to upgrade easily in the future. I had pretty much a good idea of what I wanted to do, but things changed. My budget got cut nearly in half due to unexpected expenses, but I digress. Now I plan on using one of the subs I already own (JL 10w3v3-4), buy a good(decent) HU, and upgrade my amps(currently Autotek AT1500). I currently have JBL GTO 6x8 components in the front doors, which I am moderately happy with. I think after I put an amp on them, and cut out the frequencies I am going to dedicate to my sub, they will more than suffice for my current goals. So, here is where my main concern is: I want to make sure my electrical system is well of, and that I run the proper wiring for this set up. Set Up I plan on running: Vehicle - 1998 Mercury Sable GS Head Unit - Pioneer DEH-P8400BH Front Speakers - JBL GTO8608c Subwoofer - JL 10w3v3-4 Box - 1.2ft^3 @ 33Hz Front Amplifier - PPI BK340.4 Sub Amplifier - PPI BK1300.1D Now, I do have a 4 gauge Rockford kit already installed(but not completed). Will this be enough, or do I need to upgrade to larger wiring? Will a big 3 be necessary? (I plan on doing this in the future if it is not necessitated now) Will my stock alternator be sufficient? Since I won't be spending any money on new subs, or materials for a new box, I figured I would go ahead and spend a little more on the install, making it a bit better for future upgrades. Anyhow, if you can answer any of my questions or have suggestions for other products I mentioned, I am greatly appreciative. Thanks, Cody
