[QUOTE="dreamer, post: 67153, member: 542613"] I just got my front stage set up in my '94 blazer I'm using a pair of image dynamics cd2 comp horns and 2 of 4 18w/5535a 7" drivers from scan speak it's being powered by a precision power pcx-4125 amp termporarily I have them in kick panel locations mounted to a baffle board that is not sealed at all, it is only placed in the kick panel area and affixed. These things are quite possibly the most smooth and natural midbass and midrange I've ever heard. After I set up time alignment on my pioneer dex/dex - p9 set up, the imaging and tonal balance is just breathtaking. The midbass is thumping, but drops off sharply after about 70 Hz, but that is to be expected considering they are not in any enclosure whatsoever. Listening to chemical brothers come with us cd, crap, I can't remember the song names... but it was most pleasurable because they do tend to use a wide dynamic range of instruments with lots of transients, thins and clashes. It was just _balanced_ the way that the midbass/midrange sounded and it was so f_ing clear. Really hard to describe. I had them crossed over at 36 db/oct slope at 1k lowpass and 63Hz 36db/oct slope high pass. ah crap, I want to hear them when I get off my butt and make fiberglass pods for them/and or put them in my doors. if you have any questions ask me, I'll answer. god dang it's clear and smooth and natural.
