I'm in the process of upgrading my front components (to CDT's). This leaves me with a Infinity refference component set that I have no use for. I honestly like the infinity tweeters and would like to keep them (in dash) as ambiant tweeters. I could tie them right into the cdt crossover (which has a spot for a ambiant tweeter) but have an extra set of amp channels (50WRMS)available so was thinking I'd power the ambiant/dash tweeters seperatly. That will leave more power on the main amp (100RMS) for the door mounted CDT components and give me better flexability in tuning the dash tweets. As I see it , I need to run the new 50wrms channels through the infinity passive crossovers to the infinity tweeters but would be leaving the low side of the crossover "open" . Any harm in running the crossover with just the tweeter? Will the amp see anything funky for resistance? I don't think I'm ready to go full active but this seems like a decient alternitive for my needs if it works. If it doesn't, I'll just run it all off the Main amp and CDT 480's. Any advice appreciated.
