Yo, currently piecing together my car system and doing the homework. I'll say upfront it's nothing top notch and I'm not dropping a ton of money, but I would certainly appreciate any tips and opinions, and technical support. This is the general idea and would like some help to make sure everything fits. I'll be running 2 amps, 2 sets of component speakers(4 speakers), and a single 12" sub. I have a 4 channel amp left from my old system and another 4ch my Dad gave me from his old one. Pieces are. Does everything add up correctly, ohms, RMS etc matched correctly? Will the 170RMS bridged channel really hurt a 150RMS sub? 2. Purely opinion, which sub would you go for, both had great reviews, similar specs, but crutchfield is running a Buy One Get One Free on the Rockford Fosgate, a nice option if I ever choose to run 2 subs, but Kicker is a great brand? 3. Would a low powered system like this cause any problems on the alternator or require an upgrade or extra battery? Edit: Chevy HHR 08 I'll be learning from my Dad this time how to do the install, but I need to do the homework first. Looking forward to any help, thanks guys.
