Hi, Im back into systems after a few years and need to get up to speed, First my system. Alpine 9856 (just bought) MB quartz 6.5 reference components, front and rear Alpine mrv f 303 4 ch 2 JL audio 10w0,s in a sealed small box behind rear seat old kenwood kac-7285, run stereo to the JL,s This is in a 06 silverado 2500hd crew cab truck. Ok heres my questions, I was running this system off the stock HU, it sounded like crap. Just installed the alpine and it sounds better, but the kenwood amp is so old it only has a lo pass switch, so no crossover adjustment from the amp. I thought the new deck would fix this, but the sub still is crossed over too high, plus I have to turn the gain to the max to get any decent sound out of the sub from the pre-outs on the alpine. So I want to replace the old kenwood with a alpine to match the other amp or maybe an JL amp to match the subs. I need suggestions on what amp model and how you think I should wire the subs as I have only done stereo hookups and dont know jack about bridging or ohms. TIA, Chuck
