I've watched Unique many times, it is probably one of my favorite shows, and it has it's goods and bads. Their goals at the shop aren't to set SPL records or do crazy installs even though the money the client is spending would suggest those should be their goal, never the less, their goals are to please the customer and get everything the client wants as fast as possible. It does get really predictable (alpine flip out HU, JL/Alpine comps, random JL Amp/s, random JL subs) but to the uneducated client this is what they want, they know Alpine and JL are good brands for car audio no matter how little they know. You also have to understand that their clients are extremely busy people, they don't have the time we have to research for the best price and product. And the reason they work with the same products is A) sponsorship and B) familiarity. When you work with the same HU and amps etc. you can install them a bit quicker than one you've never worked with. But Reme is definatly a better installer than mad mike. When given the right amount of time Reme's trunk designs are hot. Oh and didn't any of you see tony stewarts cadillac hearst? they did all that in like 15 days. That's incredible no matter what your feelings where on how it looked.
