I have a Red Top battery that is in my Tacoma. I searched and saw a thread about resting voltage and most batteries rest at approx. 12.5. I used my DMM last night just to see and get a resting voltage of 11.7. Does this reading in any way mean that the battery is going to be due for replacement or do they sometimes drop below 12.5? I will add that I bought this battery new in 04. I dont drive my truck much and if I wait longer than a few days it sometimes cranks slow but always starts. Once I let it run it charges and cranks over normally.
