[QUOTE="vincentp83, post: 2275552, member: 571235"] Hello, I just recently bought 4 6.5" Alpine coaxial speakers, and a Kenwood X890 unit that I am waiting for in the mail right now. Once I get them installed, I will begin considering upgrading my system a bit. I've only ever had one amp/sub combo before. It was two 12" MTX subs that sounded like crap. Maybe it was just the installation, but I didn't like them. The bass was messy and it overpowered everything else. I am looking into buying a low priced amp and sub. I'm looking, most likely, for a single subwoofer, something not too big. I'm a big rock fan, I don't listen to rap, I want my music to sound natural, not flooded with bass, however, the bass drum needs to sound like.. well, a drum. I want to feel it, not just hear it. All I know at this point is that I should probably go with a single 10" sub in a sealed box. However, I have no idea where to start. I do have a tight budget for this and an amp (which I know even less about). I don't listen to music so my ears bleed, but it would be nice to crank it up a bit without distorting the speakers. I've been looking at a 10" RF Punch sub and a Kenwood 2 channel amp, since there are bass controls for Kenwood amps on my HU. Recommendations are very welcome. I'd like to keep under $300 for a sub and amp combo, and I would like to buy new products from reputable stores. Not really looking for auction sites.
