Hey everyone, I was driving my Camaro today and gave it about 1/2 throttle twice (it has a 383 Stroker motor in it) so that it would bark the tires and so I could test to make sure the passing gear was working (we just hooked that up today). Anyway, after I drive it down the road for the second time I pull back into the parking lot of the shop. This entire time I have been listening to a CD and all of a sudden as I pull into the parking lot the speakers get REALLY loud and full of static (I mean on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being perfectly clear and 10 being so much static you can't hear anything the speakers went from a 1 to a 9 in about half a second, and with the same scale for volume they went from a 3 to a 8). I turned the volume all the way off and changed the source to the radio, turned the volume up to 1 (out of the 50 the radio does) and still couldn't hear anything! After that I turned the car off and waited about a minute and turned the radio back on... the speakers were fine and acted like nothing was out of the ordinary so I cranked the car again and turned the volume back up and everything worked fine. The headunit wasn't hot at all, and nothing smelled like smoke, no sparks ever happened, andnothing ever happened to the rest of the cars electrical systems. Anyone have ANY clue what this might be? I have never seen anything like this, and I want to make sure that there isn't any danger of this happening again in the future. Thanks guys.
