Message: <blockquote data-quote="tdblanchard13" data-source="post: 5731940" data-attributes="member: 585012">ok, i have an alpine 9885.  if im setting the hpf thats not affecting the sub is it?  i know i have that at 120hz.  as far as the amp settings i have no idea what the people did.  i didnt really question them due to my lack of knowledge with all the technical settings on an amp.ill try to be a little more detailed.  so an alpine head unit has volume #0-30 (i believe).  the sub preamp is #0-15.  when my volume is at say 5, sub preamp on 5, its decently loud.  if i wanted more vocals and turned volume to 15, sub preamp at 5, its as loud as the sub will get.  even if i crank the sub preamp  alll the way to 15.btw my bass setting is at the max, which is 7.  I hope all this makes a little bit of sense?</blockquote>
