Message: <blockquote data-quote="tdblanchard13" data-source="post: 5731759" data-attributes="member: 585012"><p>Ok, so i took advice from here and bought the re sr12 to pair with my jl 250/1.  It seems to be a great pair but i noticed tonight that the sub gets very hot.  If you look at the sub, its right where the re is printed directly in the middle of the sub.  This may be normal but i have never owned a sub so i dont know.  and since this sub is rated for 300rms, would i be able to crank up this amp?  on my alpine head unit i turn the sub up but it gets to a certain volume and then just stops getting louder.  any input would be appreciated.</p></blockquote><p></p>
