I have some Questions about the RE comps.

Could I power RE comps off my Head unit, until I can afford an amp?

How much are the RE comps?

How do the RE comps perform?

I just blew one of my 4x6 speakers, and looking into buying some comps to replace them. I dont have a place to mount them, but i'm sure I could get some kick panels, Not all sure where else I could mount them, maybe there are romm in the doors.

Yes. But you will definitely want to get an amp for them at some point in time.

Call them and find out. If there is a dealer within 50 or so miles of you, then you must buy from the dealer. IIRC they are ~$179 or so direct from RE.

Check out the product review section, and try to do some searching. There should be quite a few reviews around here. From what they've said...the mid is great, tweeter could be better. But, to each his own.

In all the cars I've worked on; even if the car doesn't have door speakers, there are big enough openings in the lower-front of the inner metal door panel that it is fairly easy to install speakers there with a little cutting of the door panel //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Done it in two vehicles so far...both turned out nicely and performed well. Cut the panel where the speaker will go, build a baffle out of MDF, screw baffle to the door, install speakers into baffle. BAAM! You're done //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

dude i noticed you are bumping 2 RL-p 12" 4Ohm, like mooahh //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif , ive got mine in about 1.25 sealed each runing with a NINe.1 which is probably about the same as your viper, these subs are NASTY, i know they bump loud as hell too in that Yukon, cause mine hurt in a '95 Camry.

peace
