[QUOTE="OmegaRed88, post: 8228454, member: 659767"] Hi all. Been perusing and figured this was specific enough to just make a thread. I'm helping my kid brother fix a problem ridden stereo from a 04' F250 powerstroke that he just bought. The previous owner has tons of random stuff in there, and I'm backtracking. From what I can tell, there was an amp for sub, amp for door speakers, flip down tv screen, and dvd player / head unit in dash. So right now, we are elbow deep in the dash, cleaning out shotty work and backtracking / deleting unneccessary wires for things that aren't going to be in the new build. We are going with a pretty basic build. Amp for components (front and rear) and amp for 1 sub. Previous owner has the factory wiring harness plug cut off. Plus other factory harnesses spliced into for power. It's a mess. What's the best option to go from here? The head unit (below) only RCA outputs for 2 channels, along with video. And from the minor tinkering I believe that the rear channel outputs don't work on the head unit. Should I get something like the Audiocontrol LC6i to gain the outputs that I need? If so, how would I properly wire this up and still power the head unit? I have one in my F150 but used another intermediary harness to tap into so that factory wiring was left untouched. Currently in truck: AVH-P3100DVD (Pioneer DVD headunit) I can get pics or more info if you need it. Thanks for the help in advance, I have a feeling I'm gonna need more by the end of this project.
